Photography Portfolio

I fell in love with photography in high school, and haven’t stopped shooting since then. I love using natural light, and I enjoy using images to tell a story.

Photography is more than taking pictures and more than art. A big part of photography is storytelling. Here, by showing everyone in the room, the viewer is brought into the scene.

I designed this self-portrait with storytelling in mind. One of our dogs needs to be on me or near me almost all the time.

This story is up to the viewer. I love how perfectly one of our cats pushed the patio curtain to the side. I cropped this to maximize the negative space.

Almost anywhere is a good location for photos. I used the light from the fixture above the bathroom vanity for this self-portrait.

I am a sucker for close-ups and a shallow depth of field. (And cute kittens!)

This spare room on the second floor of my house gets amazing light in the mornings, and I had a vision for how to take advantage of it.
I wanted to illustrate how I make the visible part of my invisible disease less medical-y by putting decorative stickers around the sensor for my continuous glucose monitor.

Front yards are also good spots for portraits. (Thanks to my sister-in-law for taking a photo of me while I was taking a photo of her daughter.)
